• Prefers the temperate waters of the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans
• One of the longest living and biggest of the tuna species
• Speedy fish capable of traveling great distances
• Trolling at boat speeds of 4-8 knots is recommended
• Live or dead bait effective using yellowtail, pilchards and nannygai
• If trolling with lures these have proved successful – knuckleheads, large minnows, skirted tuna lures and hex head lures
